In a group of friends, what has been the greatest damage you've seen caused by a misunderstanding? Have you seen something being interpreted as an insult when it arguably wasn't so?
When I was younger two of my best friends hated each other. The reason was that both of them heard, that the other one didn’t like them.
This went on for years until we randomly all met and I brought it up.
Never figured out, who told them this crap.

I believe the point here is that a lot of media attention was directed to the titanic story with a lot of discussion how to rescue the victims. All while in the last couple of years there have been multiple cases of ships with refugees drowning in the Mediterranean Sea with next to no media coverage.
Millionaires doing wacky shit just seems to be way more interesting then refugees drowning.
