Well if i was told the correct thing one of the main reasons Shiks wore turbans in the past was to protect their heads when they fell off their horses in battle. So yeah, a helmet.
Also apparently the "bracelets" were to tie their swords to so if they dropped it while on a horse it wouldnt just fall leaving them weapon-less.
Theres more reasons behind the 5 K's (the above being two of the) but i cant really remember them.

I read a story in the DailyMail where a man intentionally stayed awake for so long that he just died. Wouldn't a person just fall unconscious at one point rather than die?
I cant comment on the dude in the article, cause I can't be arsed to read it but, what you described happened to me. Stayed up for 3 days straight and, according to the doctors, it caused an epileptic fit.

What is the underrated website you have visited that not much people knows about?
Not really underrated but one that most people probably dont know, hackaday.com. Its all about hardware hacking, which is primarily people making stuff with electronics or making them do things they werent designed to do but they also have a whole heap of non electronics stuff. If you can make it, and its clever, it belongs there!
