Screen supplied by Samsung btw
Reply in thread
I refuse to buy phones with holes in screen, my previous phone was redmi k30 ultra, now switched to nubia z70, exactly cause of that reason. So when apple released iphone with that big eyebrow I laughed manically, cause like, who would buy that shit?..
Then they released laptop with same eyebrow notch, that literally served zero purpose (under it only single small camera, no sensors that would require that size of cut in the screen), after that I stopped laughing. It's not funny anymore, it's terrifying. It's like, apple audience trained to buy whatever apple sells them or something. And they will defend it furiously, scary shit.

LG Smart TVs Caught Scanning Networks and Logging Audio in Standby
Reply in thread
Situation with TVs way worse. Most non-chinese phones do not spy on you 24/7. Yes, some (if not all) major apps logs everything you do, but it not nearly close to what GN discovered with LG TVs: they literally record your screen and logs everything you say.
Also, on android you often have options to opt out or change software and sometimes even switch to different OS. Best option that I found for my LG C2 — is to just turn internet off.

To be happy…

When I was working in repairs, we got orders sometimes to repair those microwaves. And the only thing that I learned is that if magnetron (coolest technology name in my opinion) died, then it similar to TVs with dead display — price of repair would be basically close to price of whole device.

LibreOffice breaks download records after declaring it has no AI features
Reply in thread
It's not a bug, it's a feature that was made like that from the start. Link1 , Link2 , Link3. It also a known issue that you can't deduplicate sorted\filtered table. Just not a thing. Deal with it.
No, I have not. I did my share of reporting bugs and requesting features in OSS, but assholes like dude below will never be happy about me, cause how dare I to call out on obvious flaw in open software! OSS doesn't have issues, YOU LYING! I'm done. Kinda burned out. OSS community sucks and can go fuck itself.

LOL, what a loser, he actually uses OSS instead of bragging about it on internet.
Is that what you intended to say? Or do you have actual argument against what I said?

I'm a simple support who occasionally work with personal data stored in CSV and JSON. Libreoffice sucks. For example: deduplication hiden behind "create autofilters > press on any filter > filter by condition > standard filter > remove selected field > press options > no duplications". Cool, eh? And for some reason it doesn't work if at least one field selected, which is completely unintuitive. There other quirks too, like completely hidden in settings function to display more than 1 million rows, wich is disabled by default and there no notification that your document exceed this. I already forgot other issues that I faced with it, but yeah, not a fan of it. It's good untill you start actually use it.
That being said, it's free, open source and works most of the time, especially if you just need to view some data, from this side of things it have almost zero competition.

I can't build shit when they steal my stuff man.
Jokes aside, I live in Serbia. It's not "bigotry" here, it's just being aware of your surroundings. But you always welcome to come here and prove me wrong.
Upd. Considering amount of downvotes I assume answer to my comment would be something like "you right and I hate you for this, but have nothing to say in my defense, so here your downvote". Fine by me.

Memory prices climb 500% in 12 months, up to 10x the lowest ever tracked prices — 128GB of DDR5 now $3,399
And suddenly me "unjustifiably" buying 128gb of DDR5 was a good investment of money.

Valve confirms Steam Machine red light overheating warning is showing earlier than it should; BIOS fix on the way — will raise temperature warning threshold to 100 Degrees Celsius
Reply in thread
From gamer nexus testings, it looks like there enough of headroom to operate below any throtling threshold. Fan basically silent even at full load. So I assume yes, most probably somewhat default 95C peak and somewhat tweaked power settings.

Yes, 95C max for desktop CPU, 105C for notebook APU, became a default like, 20 years ago or so

There no point in making dating app for 5 users.
