10 years ago I had a senior director at a large fortune 50 corporation tell me that because of the dire state of US education, the only way to ensure a candidate could read, write, and do basic math was if they went to college. As someone who now does lots of corporate hiring, it’s only gotten worse. It’s especially bad in technical fields where about half the CS grads I interview can’t even answer basic questions like “What’s an IDE?”

States are granted electors based (roughly) on their population that can vote and are given broad authority in how to determine how these electors are selected. It's not useful to compare health insurance profit margins to other industries because the Federal Government requires that they spend 80% of all premium revenue on care. This is effectively a cap on profits and also creates an incentive for insurance companies to pay higher costs for care so they can make more profit.

Apple uses bog standard LPDDR5-6400. LPDDR5 is a low power variant of DDR5. 32GB of DDR5-6400 is about $90 USD.

The only thing special about the Apple RAM configuration is the larger than normal bus on the CPU die.

I went with the Gerber Viper as the second best unit under $1000 but cheaper than the Toto. It's so good I just ended up replacing my other toilets with the same model.
