The future of aussie.zone...

I’d hate to see AZ shut down and I’m happy to setup regular donations.

There are few places left on the internet where any degree of disagreement is tolerated and overall I have found AZ and its community mods to be reasonable.

That's what you just said!

Man on man, that would be grossly disproportionate.

And there are millions videos of some guy taking a swing, missing, and getting knocked out. They’re very popular across a range of platforms. Worldstar ring a bell?

It is grossly disproportionate in many cases.

The point is almost everyone loves when an aggressor gets their comeuppance.

Add a culture of young women who believe they’re untouchable solely because they’re women, a mountain of entitlement and a severe miscalculation of relative strength and you get videos of women slapping guys who hit back like a truck.

Tony Hall has lived in the UK for 50 years. Why is the Home Office trying to deport him?

which wasn't violent

He was planning to threaten with a gun (real or fake) which is considered a violent crime. Armed robbery was his intention.

The fact he was arrested before he managed to threaten anyone is a moot point.

He could’ve just accepted being deported and moved on with his life. He chose limbo and it seems that is all but guaranteed to push him into further crime as there’s no other way to make a living.

Deporting him solves the problem for the UK as he ceases to be their problem. Not deporting him at the end of his incarceration is the strange part.

Just don't choke people lol it's extremely dangerous and legally risky

Advocating for abstinence is a losing strategy as noted in the article.

I’m not interested in sexual choking, though I do choke people out occasionally in martial arts training, I was interested only in the claim regarding legality.

Though not broadly different from other State and Territory laws the legal firms advice that is linked in the article relates to NSW law and does not indicate that all sexual strangulation is unlawful.

Your claim, and the articles claim, regarding the legality of sexual strangulation is untrue on the grounds that sexual strangulation may be performed in a way that is consensual, does not result in harm, loss of consciousness or death.

It is not explicitly illegal according to Federal, State or Territory law.
