Ai does not make me feel joy or excitement about the future. Especially regarding the things I love (education, literature, art, music, silly nerdy computer hobby stuff, etc). Does anyone have any thoughts that may somewhat help me feel less dread? Do you think that the desire for human driven creativity, the desire to hold a physical book in your hand, or a physical paint brush, or to hang with your friends outside without cellphones will persist despite all the rubbish?
Learn a second language and keep up with the language your parents speak. You will regret being a brat about not wanting to speak this language especially as your family members pass.
The only opinions about you that really matter are from the people you respect and who respect you back
Being a kind humble person, who leads their political convictions with curiosity and not self righteousness is important. As that one person said: "I am no hero and neither are you."
Don't throw out your old media (mix cds, tapes, records, photos, zinee, etc) because you think they're embarrassing. They either will not be embarrassing later or they will become expensive and you can tell them for mad bucks.
I just started self hosting. I have been really enjoying it so far but I'm nervous that the excitement will wear off soon unless something stressful or even catastrophic happens. Any advice?
Is this the right place to ask for help? Or is there another place? Anyways, feel free to delete this post if i'm in the wrong spot.
I use Pop OS on an Asus. Something has happened where i either have a 10 min plus boot time, or it doesn't boot at all. I have reinstalled Pop OS twice (and used recovery mode) and even took it into a computer shop to see if there was something wrong with my hardware (there isn't). When I first do a new install it will restart fine, but then it'll be the next day when it will either take over 8 minutes to load, or it will be stuck on boot.
Right now it is stuck on boot. I can get into a live usb stick just fine. I have done systemanalyze blame, and it didn't give me any helpful information. I have the same issue even if I try to press space bar and boot into an old kernel.
I should note that my computer has encryption enabled.

I'm curious how they were able to find her based off of letters. Surely she wouldn't have been dumb enough to put her return address so assuming she didn't do that I'm wondering what it could have been.
Hey all I'm a little confused by something. I can't seem to quick search things in Dolphin, for instance if I try and look up a folder it says "no items matching the search" even though it will show up when looking for it on the command line and if I just manually search it myself. Does anyone know a fix for this?
