This is absolutely disgusting, but as they say, never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups...

All the stories like this just solidify my decision to leave the Catholic church and become an atheist... it's unbelievable how this is basically a slap on the wrist and the justice system is OK with it.

"The label hasn't even reached consumers yet, but Comcast is already trying to create loopholes." Is anyone surprised? I'm not a huge fan of Google's privacy practices, but their Fiber service is outstandingly easy to use and fast. I'm lucky to live in Kansas City though...

It may just be that I’m older and have more disposable income now, but I agree with the “if it’s free, you’re the product”. I also pay for a VPN, email, iCloud, backup services, also Overcast and Patreon for podcasts… it also makes me feel “good” to more directly support artists and makers than big producers like Spotify or Amazon.

Totally agree, I had the same reaction! Especially for those that don’t have icons… maybe a stock placeholder of the same size? And new lines of course 🤓

I’m in Kansas City so I joined https://midwest.social 😄

Bless his/her heart…

That makes total sense... I'll have to investigate compressing and making GIFs etc to share cat craziness and other /r/abruptchaos, thanks!

I’m tempted but not sure it’s a wise financial mind at the moment… but I’m definitely tempted! 😈

My favorite book that I read in one sitting (though not hard to do because it’s so short) is The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman… made me cry with its beauty!

I also use 1password and there’s an easy “create masked email” feature where a fastmail marked email is set as the email for a new 1password login… love it!

Totally agree, he's become less and less relevant and I'm tired of hearing about him... sigh
