Oh! So, Spez is asking for more? Ok then.

Sad to see Reddit go
If former redditors join here, it's not like actually leaving.

Tomorrow many subreddits will open up again, will you switch back to Reddit or stay on Lemmy (or use both)
Will I switch back? Short answer is: no.
Long answer is: noooooooooooooooooo.

Welcome reddit refugees!
It feels quite right. We need to set up lots of niche communities, but what I miss the most is the user base. It was diverse, and lemmy is known to have an specific user profile. Would be nice to reach out, wear a former redditors badge, and wear it with pride!

The end of Reddit? Why the blackout is still going – and what happens next

I've also learnt about several awesome subreddits. That made me double mad, knowing all the things I'm just missing.

Reddit starts to force open subreddits
I don't expect critical thinking is at core for r/adviceanimals, but r/tumblr? tumblr userbase are engaged and agains the system. Any way, this dickmove was expected. As long as users don't flee back, is ok.

Subreddits you are going to miss?
I'm gonna miss r/Art that's for sure! I loved how ppl gave different techniques a twist. It gave me hope! Most websites circlejerk around portraits and anime. Also r/depression. I use to reply post when I think I could say something helpful. Today someone committed to hospital and I'm afraid she won't be able to reach us back, ask for help, ask for someone to listen her. There's lots of niche hobbies too. I recently joined 3 and I was thrilled with these communities: r/falloutnewvegas and their witty crossovers, r/Tau40K had some cool painters and, oh boy, r/MechanicalKeyboards.

The place was curated. That's the reason spez claims it was being scrapped by AI models.

How do you obtain your music?
Radio, believe me or not. I try to fish on some indie radios. Also, through podcast or YT: I like when they tell you the story or meaning or help you understand in any way. It helps me enjoy music. Then is easy to pull the threat to jump from one artist to the next.
Then I buy CD on their official website, but don't really listen to them.

I love how thoughtful everything feels on lemmy
It has less bots, that's for sure.

Techies, anticapitalists, anticorpos, commies, and pro LGTBQ+ with special enfassis on the T.
I'm quite like that, but I don't feel comfortable in places that are... "just that". It can feel daunting and toxic.
I enjoyed commenting on Reddit because there's normies, ppl with cold heads, savvies, ppl from different backgrounds, and that Vietnamese guy how had no access to higher education and couldn't care less about politics, which sounds the opposite than an IT person how post about FOSS and anarchy. All that people had to find an agreement, and it usually turn out pretty well.
