You are several orders of magnitude more likely to be killed by another human than an animal or insert in Australia.

YSK that radishes are fucking amazing. They contain vitamin C, improve blood pressure, and are full of Sulforaphene, a powerful anti-cancer substance. Radishes contain almost no calories

Although sulforaphane research on cancer has been ongoing for many years, there is no good clinical evidence to indicate consuming sulforaphane-rich vegetables or dietary supplements provides any effect. Wikipedia

What is the best Power Outlet, and why?
It's obviously the one in the country I live in. All the others that I have had zero experience with are from Satan.

Uncircumcised penis owners, did you ever wish you were circumcised?
Nope, not even once. I find the idea of circumcision really bizarre.

I'm increasingly unhappy with the limits on AI text generation and I have heard that it's not that hard to do it on a laptop oneself. What is the best path forward?
I've been using GPT4All on my laptop and using mostly 7B models due to my RAM limitations and I am amazed how good some of them are.
It's been really easy to use. There are models you can download from within the UI or you can get adventurous and download them from elsewhere, they just need to be in the .gguf format. I get most from TheBloke on hugging face.
So far my favourite has been solar-10.7B-instruct-v1.0-uncensored, it has been astonishingly good.

Beekeeper here. Bees are really good at sniffing out honey. They will even find other hives and if it's abandoned or the other bees aren't watching very well they will steal their honey. Honey they can get from elsewhere is honey they don't have to make themselves.

Just read an article somebody stole 40k from an atm. How is that possible that an atm carries that much? And is it even possible to get inside an ATM if so?
I used to work for a company in Australia that packed ATMs. A busy ATM stocked with 50s and 20s usually would hold $340k. We also packed some for a casino that held 100s and 50s and they were often packed with $650k.

And how's there a car in a mall? Life's important questions
I had so many theories about the Bermuda triangle and the Mary Celeste disappearance... Then I got older and more sceptical and found out the Bermuda triangle is nothing special, just highly trafficked and the Mary Celeste mystery was largely fictionalized and nothing remarkable.

Back when google photos used to make videos of things you have done and taken lots of photos for, it made a video for me of a camping trip that prominently featured photos of a dead wild horse. Complete with confetti effects.

Car Wash Test on 53 leading AI models: "I want to wash my car. The car wash is 50 meters away. Should I walk or drive?"
I asked my locally hosted Qwen3 14B, it thought for 5 minutes and then gave the correct answer for the correct reason (it did also mention efficiency).
Hilariously one of the suggested follow ups in Open Web UI was "What if I don't have a car - can I still wash it?"

My kids bored out of their minds with a house full of toys, don't know how good they got it
Looking at the design of those wheels I feel like there was thought and probably iteration there. Those long thick hubs to provide durability and stability using a material not really suited to the use case. The whole thing was probably able to be made fairly quickly. Quite impressive really.

I'm a US citizen, people in other countries, what do you think when you read stories like these about the US health care system?
I'm Australian, I hate the way our government treats our healthcare system and continues to make decisions in favour of companies and to the detriment of the Australian people, but holy hell is our system better than in the US.
Each time I read an article like this I'm glad to live here. This is never a decision we would need to make, we wouldn't even question going to the ER in a case like this.

Considering how much beef we export I don't understand why we would need to import any from anywhere.

After receiving an upvote it should get exponentially harder to give more. Like votes 1-10 you have to double click; 10-20 triple click... At 100 you have to do a captcha. Just keep adding obstacles.

I feel like it punishes real people more than bots. An exponential amount of clicks is easy for a bot to achieve.

Has there ever been a case where a kidnapee was able to brainwash his captors into freeing him/her?
I'm not sure you could exactly call it brainwashing but Josefina Rivera was able to gain the trust of her abductor enough that he let her visit her family. As soon as she was free she called the police which led to his arrest and the freeing of the other abductees.

TIL ceiling fans generally have a setting you're supposed to switch to make them blow down in the summer and up in the winter
The winter feature is to circulate the warm air that accumulates at the ceiling back down.
