Using a local solution is always most secure, but imo you should first ask yourself if you trust your own security practices and whether you have sufficient hardware redundancy to be actually better. I managed to lose the private key to some Bitcoin about a decade ago due to trying to be clever with encryption and local redundant copies.

Further, with the prevalence of 2FA even if their server was somehow fully compromised as long as you use a different authenticator app than Bitwarden you're not at major risk anyways. With how poorly the average person manages their password security this hurdle alone is likely enough to stop all but attacks targeted specifically at you as an individual.

Normally Trump does what's best for the ultra wealthy, but de-dollarization of the world economy appears to be good for nobody in the USA. I have no clue what they're trying to do, I suspect he's just lost it and there's nobody left to tell him these tariffs hurt his croneys too.

It's much easier to build rail in places that weren't designed around cars. Even in rural China people live in condos and apartments with parks between. Seriously this. Every single IC which has digital logic contains some number of undocumented test commands used to ensure it meets all the required specifications during production. They're not intended to be used for normal operation and almost never included in datasheets.

As an electrical engineer I'm reasonably confident my job is a very long way from danger. Analog electronics never made their way to internet forums at scale, and for humans the only real reference you need is an old book called the art of electronics. AI needs a ton of training data to be good, and outside of code and potentially law, I just don't see what other fields have sufficient training data.

I'd argue we're at the point where that would be a good business move too. It wouldn't fix my main issue of but allowing 3rd party repairs so I wouldn't buy one, but I know several people who have bought other brands due to Elon.

My ISP has started throttling YouTube to ~2mbps when viewed from desktop. Using a VPN gets around this and lets me watch in HD. Luckily I've not encountered this error yet, but if I do I guess it's no more YouTube for me, 480p is just way too blurry to put up with.

The ads on over the air programming are so so terrible. And even with a great antenna the many channels aren't exactly the highest quality content even if they didn't have ads.

YouTube has taken the place of over the air TV and for good reason.

This is absolutely not my experience. Usually the libertarians I talk to are first and foremost contrarians who don't want to appear politically mainstream but also usually haven't thought too hard about politics before.

If they really wanted to change regulations they'd push changing zoning regulations in cities to allow building anything other than detached single family housing. That would be totally reasonable and help alongside tax incentives. But I have a feeling that's not what's meant by changing regulations...
