Was trying to submit this video in a post using the "Video" post type, and for some reason I get the following error trying to submit it:

"Your post was not accepted because 400 Bad Request: The browser (or proxy) sent a request that this server could not understand."

This is my first time bumping into this issue doing so. Is the option to post videos broken currently, or is there an issue with the video itself? Despite what the error indicates, I've submitted videos through this browser (LibreWolf) before without issue, so I don't believe that to be the cause.

Noticed with the recent error from the PieFed update that the error message comes with AI art.

I'm aware it's quicker and cheaper, but a fair portion of people on the fediverse are very staunchly against AI art. I feel it would bring more personality to the community if these were replaced with art by Canadian artists on the fediverse.

I don't know of a whole lot off hand, but one who does come to mind is Johann Sebastian Staedtler on mastodon.art. I'm sure others here know of other people who'd be worth collaborating with as well. Might even be fun in the long term to do something like a randomised rotation of art from different artists each time the page is refreshed.

Sorry for the long gap, it's been an interesting last few months for me, but I hope to up my activity on PieFed again.

However, I'm hoping to find a new moderator for this community. While I'd be happy to stick around and ensure nothing is posted that breaks the rules, I'm hoping to transfer administrator privileges to someone else as I've since evolved in my identity a little, and found that I lie elsewhere on the aro-ace spectrum.

While I no longer identify as demisexual, I would like for the person who takes the reigns from here to be someone who does, and is a regularly active user of either Lemmy or PieFed. That way the community remains decently active, is moderated fairly, and has the opportunity to thrive rather than being left behind like other attempts to make a community for demisexuals.

I will also like to ask that whoever takes over has a staunch stance against AI-generated content.

Thanks! I'll make a fair attempt to keep the community active myself in the meantime.

Sorry for the post being a little later than usual today, but welcome back to the weekly stats share! Before we get into that however, a quick announcement.

Last week I promised to have a wiki page ready for desktop applications. While that has slightly changed, I have gotten a wiki page up and ready for ways to submit your listens to ListenBrainz via desktop applications on Windows! This week I'll be working on browser-based means to submit your listens, and the following week I'll begin working on what's available for Linux users. This is likely a bit late for a number of people, though in the future, I will be using the scheduled post feature in order to have the question posted at a more reasonable time for most people on Mondays.

This will be a weekly series where a question is posted asking community members about their experiences being demisexual, or topics regarding demisexuality as a whole. The name is based off an old community name idea I had that I felt would be a good fit reusing for this weekly series.

This weeks question is simple, but also complex with how broad it is. What made you realise you're demisexual? What set things apart for you where you felt you didn't quite understand the norm for how people view sexuality, but also didn't sit into the camp of being fully asexual? How did you come to learn that your attraction was based on emotional connection?

Welcome to the Demisexuality community here on PieFed.ca! While I've made a few communities on this instance already, this one is one I especially plan on giving attention to as it's especially personal to me.

Not to overshare, but when it comes to being demisexual I've been feeling a bit isolated, especially as of late. As much as I try to pay no mind to it, the unfortunate reality is that I feel misunderstood by everyone, you're too queer to relate to straight friends, Your sexual attraction sets you apart from those who are completely asexual, and in my own case being heteroromantic, as much as I appreciate my queer friends, it sometimes feels I'm too "straight" to relate with them.

I've made a community for demisexuality elsewhere before, can't recall the instance off hand since I've instance-hopped a bit, but it didn't really get off the ground as I admittedly didn't put a whole lot of effort into the community. This time around, however, I want to put in a lot more effort into the community as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of spaces specific to demisexuals, and I can't help shake the thought that there's probably other people that share the same thoughts I do where they need a space to better connect with others in the same boat as they are.

I'll try my best to post here daily, and I look forward to meeting you all!

I follow this one community that unfortunately seems to be attracting some people from the wrong crowd. Thinking I might leave the community, but something I did take notice of was how I was able to see a comment from an account on maga.place.

There was a post two weeks ago in lemmy.ca's main community where MP3 seems to imply that maga.place was defederated from through a comment on the post, and that this PieFed instance would follow suit automatically. However, this doesn't appear to be the case in the list of blocked instances.

Overall activity from the instance seems pretty small and I know I can block them on my own accord, but all things considered I don't think it would be good to keep them federated in case their user base grows.

Welcome to the second weekly stats share, but before we get into that, a quick update on the community.

As this community is hosted on a PieFed instance, work will be done within the week to utilise PieFed's feature of having community wikis. The first wiki will be resources of desktop applications one can use to track their music listening habits to ListenBrainz, though it is yet to be seen if this will be split into installed programs and those that are browser-based. The goal is to have the resource ready by next Weekly Stats Share, so please keep you eyes peeled and get on my ass if it hasn't been done by then!
