Exactly. Decentralized services and servers that are unified in a common standard is the way the web should always have been.
Someone fucked up and told the advertisers that a dollar could be made so we end up with the ad cancer that is the 'modern' web.

Feel free to join us @ programming.dev/c/mobiledev as well. It's sparse right now but we'll snowball over time. React Native is a great framework to learn if you like React as a library.
I did Stephen Grider's courses on Udemy and they were great ways to learn. And if you're already a backend dev you'll likely have a more elegant solution to using ngrok for the demo servers. ; )
