So do I, but there are enough people running out of date software that old vulnerabilities are still being actively exploited.

I read about a fungus found near the reactor in Chernobyl that seemed to be using the radiation as an energy source, so it seems plausible for a plant to evolve to absorb RF energy.

VMs have vulnerabilities, if you really want to be safe use a dedicated air-gapped pc, or don't run it at all.

Next time, see what a local camera shop would charge to rent some equipment so you can do the shoot yourself. It'll probably be less than $75 to rent the gear for a day. It takes a lot of experience to be a good photographer, so you're paying for their time and expertise, not their equipment. Modern cameras do a lot of the work for you, so you might be happy doing it yourself. On the other hand, for something like a wedding I would hire a pro if there's room in the budget.

18% of people running Nextcloud don't know what database they are using
I write software for a living, and have worked with all 3 database options in the past. I don't know what DB backend my nextcloud server is using, nor do I care.

Warren Buffett Said Buying 'Distressed' Homes With 30-Year Mortgages And Renting Them Out Might Be The 'Most Attractive' Investment Available
Wow, very misleading article. Buffet said those things in 2012, right as the economy was starting to recover from the great recession. Things are very different now.

No, this is fake. You can put whatever you want in the envelope and send it back, but they won't deliver a whole package. They only prepaid postage for a letter.
Of course if you send something dangerous/threatening you might get arrested.

People think private pilots are rich because airplanes are expensive. They're not - they might be upper-middle class (with a mortgage and other debt) but most have to budget their aviation spending. Truly wealthy people don't fly their own planes, they hire pilots and crew, and probably have no idea what a Jesus nut looks like.
That said, this is obviously satire/bait.

I fully understand
I remember this article... He went for a hike and didn't tell his roommates when he would be back. He didn't answer their calls (I'm assuming he needed some time alone), and was gone for more than 24 hours so they reported him missing. He just wanted some time away from his roommates and they put him the the national news.

One of the benefits of a federated social media network is being able to pick an instance that aligns with your own values. If you'd prefer that the admins defederate certain content that isn't defederated by this instance, have you considered using an instance that more closely aligns with your views? As long as they haven't defederated this instance, you'll still be able to interact with any users and communities on this instance that you don't personally block.
I sincerely hope this doesn't sound like I'm asking you to leave. One of the reasons I'm on this instance is that everyone is welcome to make an account, which feels very inclusive to me.

Just knowing how to use Google/ddg/etc to search for a solution to your problem makes you better at troubleshooting than most people. Spending 30 seconds to find a relevant link can make you seem like a genius to a lot of people.

Move fast and break things. Features over stability.
Makes sense for a lean startup. Not so much for a widely used utility for backing up important data.

The same way Epstein was able to get a plea deal that gave him immunity to federal charges back in 2006. Everyone involved is extremely well-connected.
