Why school pickup lines keep getting worse

Reply in thread

I live not more than 200 yards from where my kid goes to school. We walk her to and from school. The number of parents I see driving that distance is absolutely ridiculous. It's a neighborhood school, so everyone lives within a mile or two. We all should be walking. But yeah, the school accommodates by having pickup lines and parking for all the damn cars. People will drive less than mile, park, then drive back home. It's like ingrained to only drive.

I'm old enough to remember the days of Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock. I liked UFC back then. But then somewhere along the way, it changed. It changed into who was the most entertaining fighter instead of who was the most skilled. Sure, some of those early fights weren't were chess matches, but that was the sport. The fighters today still have skill, don't get me wrong. The fans have also changed...I mean booing two jiu jitsu fighters in a bold is just weird and disrespectful to me. I wonder how many fighters don't make it in the UFC just because they're "boring."

I don't care for it now. I haven't watched it in many years. I think Frank Mir was the last fighter I really followed. I've tried watching Pride, but it's been hard for me to find.

I've been using Linux for over 20 years. My first distro was Mandrake. I've always cime back to that line od distros.

I'm currently using Mageia on my laptop and gaming PC. I can't think of anything I haven't been able to run. My daughter uses the gaming PC to game and do school work. It's a great distro with little headache.

I also Ubuntu Studio for recording music, playing electric drums, music productuon, and also gaming. I also have some hime automation set up on it.
