Trained AI can be pretty useful at writing. People just need to actually read and edit it.

I made a website about a sport I knew nothing about. I was using AI to write the articles. I would cross reference the information against other websites on that sport and edit my AI article to make it more natural. The end goal was affiliated marketing but I lost interest after a while. Anytime you see an article like "the 10 best.." "the best hacks for..." etc, the author most likely made the article like I was doing.

Fortunately Google has shot themselves in the foot because nobody can find anything of value with their search engine anymore. Googles AI has significantly decreased traffic to all websites as well.

I was talking about McDonald's the other day and saying how I used to buy their regular hamburgers for $1 each and now they are like $3. I wanted to know exactly how much they cost now so I opened the McDonald's app and a promo popped up for "buy 1 hamburger get 1 free". It was the first thing that popped up on the screen. Was it a weird coincidence or audio data collection?

Bluetooth connections? Things you plug your phone into? Cords you use to plug your phone into something. WiFi hotspots?

If they really want you, they will get you. I have a feeling data collection is constantly changing and it's challenging to keep up. I'm not an expert in this at all though. Just ideas.

I just don't see the benefit of AI. AI has no liability. You can't trust the information it tells you as it spits out fake facts in 2 seconds. What benefit is this serving society? I think that where the doubt comes from.

They are also ultra processed. They probably don't really even have to wrap them in that fake foil wrap because they are gonna stay exactly the same without it.

What's crazy is the hacker is trying to sell extremely classified Chinese defense information for only 'hundreds of thousands of dollars in crypto'. You can get a preview for 'thousands of dollars'.

Is it worth placing a huge target on yourself for less than a million dollars? It's unfortunate I will never read a follow-up on this story.

Hopefully Reddit is next. World news, technology, and pretty much every big name subreddit could use a shutdown. I get wayyyy more replies on Lemmy than I ever did on "active" reddit posts with supposedly 4k comments. It got to the point that I would be surprised anytime someone replied to me.

No way in hell I would want to go to the moon nowadays. Technology these days is like having two left feet. Especially if AI is involved.
