Our groups DM made me paint half a demon army for our current campaign. This is the second mini from that whole bunch I'm posting.

Again, I'm very open to suggestions and tips to improve.

My second FDM mini, this is just the Paladin example from Hero Forge.

Our groups DM made me paint half a demon army for our current campaign. I'll probably post another one or two of the minis I painted for that.

I'm very open to suggestions and tips to improve.

A friend of mine loves dinosaurs, pigeons and their axolotl onesie so I made them a custom miniature as a gift (plus a second copy to keep for myself)

• Model: based on a Heroforge mini but added the axolotl gills, pigeon, blahaj and messenger bag strap in blender
• Printer: Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra
• Resin: Ameralabs TGM-7
• Paints: mostly Army Painter Fanatics plus a few Vallejo
• Brushes: Da Vinci Colineo
• Painting time: 8 hours or so for both combined? I lost track

Looking at the photo, I can see a bunch of spots that could be improved, especially around the arms and legs but in person they look fine.

All Dark Elf command models (foreground) and generic heroes (background) for Demonworld. The model on the right is from a different maker, since the company that produced Demonworld went under before all Dark Elf models were released. The same goes for the generic hero on the left in the background.

One interesting detail is that Valdan the Destroyer (foreground left) has a trophy head on his lance that is clearly from another Dark Elf unit - a Blood Circle priestess. There's no lore reason for that. I think the artist just used it as a mold and forgot to remove the skull ornament from the forehead.

The Miniature has a subtile purple undercoat which shines through in the shadows. Also im really happy with the base.

I managed to snag some plastic sheet from the trash at work, and glued down a printable track from a Cars 3 playset. It fits the feel of the mushroom kingdom so well. I'm still trying to figure out how best to seal the paper sides with how flexible the plastic sheet can be.

I've got most of the terrain on hand painted waiting for a re-up from my buddy with a printer.

First time trying to paint a thoroughly weathered/rusty piece, and also first time trying to paint 3D printed terrain.

Printed with a 0.2mm layer height, it was surprisingly annoying to paint compared to regular cast HIPS pieces. Washes are completely useless, or at least behave very differently, due to capillary effect of the layer lines.

I think I went a little too heavy with the rust orange color so it lost some definition. It looks a little more defined IRL than the photo shows.

11 unique racers with most of my personal favorites. I had debated gaslandsing them up a little, but the plan was Mario Kart as a demo game for local stores and cons. So I figured the less chopping and painting and glueing I do the longer it will last. Although I am considering changing the wheels out for a more rugged look(and glued I to place so they don't roll everywhere). You can also swap drivers with a security screw!

The good part of recreating a popular video game is there are plenty of assets to print. Waiting is the hardest part. Then painting. That's the order, waiting is the hardest part and painting comes in second.

Admittedly, wound up with more of a "plague" troll type scheme, but, overall, I'm very happy with how this turned out. Last item in the to-do list is some light corrective work around her hair and feet and then I'm calling it. I wanted to make a creature with some ick factor, and I think this works!

Had a little craft night with my local crew, and I decided to dive into my newest track terrain. I've got Bob-ombs and goombas aplenty. I've got chain chomps and brick blocks galore but who cares no big deal I want more!

So many little bits to paint, but I started with the biggest pieces for a sense of direction.
