ICE plans to sell, hand off warehouses, including in Berks, Schuylkill, report says

A member of the group "ICE OUT of Upper Bern," which is opposed to the plans, is celebrating the news.

"We just want to thank all the people in "ICE OUT Upper Bern." We got support from all over. It's not just Upper Bern watershed, Tulpehocken watershed, people are all affected by this or would have been," said Richard Cattermole with ICE OUT UPPER BERN.

"The federal governments just gonna roll right over you. Nobody here can do anything. We got together," Cattermole said. "We got support from outside Delaware River keepers. Different people noticed and helped out and I think we had something to do with it."

What's up with your speed limits and not follwing em?

I had to recently drive through PA, did a trip from Virginia -> Allentown -> Honsdale -> NY

The back road speed limit signs were all over 25, 35 45... In weird places. The thing that gets me though is almost ALL of the locals just speed like crazy! I'm following the speed limit on the high way cruising along at 55. Getting passed by hicks going way way over the speed limit. Flying past me. (And tailgating... Think that is happening all over now-days...)

Is this common in PA, just fuck speed limits?

Off-duty officer stops elderly woman from falling victim to crypto scam

According to a social media post from the police department, Officer Stom was off duty at a local Bethlehem gas station. Stom noticed an elderly woman on the phone at a bitcoin machine who appeared visibly distressed.

Trusting his instincts, he recognized the warning signs of a potential Crypto scam and approached her to check on her well-being.

Thanks to his quick thinking and proactive intervention, Officer Stom was able to stop the victim from sending the full amount of money to the scammers, preventing further financial loss. Police say he then ensured that an on-duty officer responded to properly document the incident.

PennDOT’s enhanced vehicle inspection changes catching rebuilt car owners by surprise

First, the vehicle being inspected must be all one uniform color, meaning all body panels must be painted and match in color.

Second, the vehicle must be fully restored to its original operating condition as designed by the manufacturer and meet the original manufacturer’s specifications and appearance.

You guys in PA need to find out who put this into law and get them TF out of government because they're obviously in the pockets of someone in the auto industry. There's no reasonable justification for these, and they should be challenged in court.

Teens arrested in Quakertown ICE protest charged with aggravated assault | “It was really scary," said a teen who witnessed the confrontation.

Importantly: they were attacked by the police chief, who wasn't wearing a uniform, and spent the better part of a week in jail already over it.

McElree, the police chief, who was dressed in plain clothes, grabbed a teenage boy and placed a teenage girl in a chokehold, they said, prompting other students to intervene and a larger scuffle to break out.
