AI lets chemists design molecules by simply describing them

All of the references I've found so far just say they used various metallic salts without identifying them. I'm guessing many were proprietary. But I was curious if you guys have some ideas what they might have used back in the 1908 - 1930 time frame.
Using kitchen grade borosilicate and windows as ventilation and no access to nitrogen, is there a safe way I can performed an ASE at home?
Looking to make a rosmary alcohol tincture to investigate the alleged serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, and GABA A activity reported in mice.
Would a medicinal dose of fresh rosmary equate to 1 medicinal dose of alcohol extract or would the extract from 1 medicinal dose of fresh rosmary be a lot more potent? And if so, how do I determine how much is safe for human consumption?
Also, how would I determine the required ratio of 50-70% alcohol to distilled water? I'd like to have a tincture dosable in 1 drop.

So I’m attempting to make a “black flame candle” for a Hocus Pocus movie night this Halloween.
I’m basically going to be filling a spirit lamp with methanol mixed with NaCl and light it under a low pressure sodium vapor light.
The idea is that the sodium ions given off by the flame will perfectly absorb the sodium spectrum given off by the light and appear black.
Early tests showed that this works to a degree. I get a bit of a black rim around the edges of the flame, but it still appears yellow. Any idea why this is happening? The effect appears better the smaller the flame, so it might not be a problem when I get the spirit lamp working (it’s in the mail).
I don’t fully understand this phenomenon, so any explanation is appreciated. Does the brightness of the flame have to be less than the bulb for it to work?
If anyone has any images they think would make a good logo or banner for this community, post it here :)
Banners needs to have a pretty wide aspect ratio, you can see in the link on this post an example of banners on the lemmy community browser.
