Coolest thing may be that they harvest soft shoots, then stab them into to bottom of the the surrounding waters, and even if it all freezes over, they can go get their stores and have fresh shoots to eat, even in deep winter.

River front property is way more than $2k a month but you can get a government subsidy for using hydro electricity to power your home.

"Nesting chamber" and "eating chamber" sound so much classier than "bedroom" and "kitchen". The fact that they're like 10cm apart from one another...well...it's a tough real estate market out there.
