Do Posts Expire?
I’ve tried to comment on older posts, but I get an unknown error warning on some of the older ones. Some only a day old

Really old posts maybe, but it might help to see which posts you are trying to comment on
Oldest post for me is this one from 5 years ago: https://lemmy.ca/post/375988
I was able to comment on it just now
I think you mean months, and your comment isn't visible?Edit: link took me somewhere strange :/
Just checked: That post says 5 years, and I can see Otter's comment
Bizarre, that link takes me to a completely different post. Apologies, I can see the post and comment if i type it into a browser.
I was eventually able to reply, but the error has popped up on me numerous times
Did it by any chance take you to https://programming.dev/post/375988?
That's the one. Im assuming its just a Connect thing :/
I remember seeing people have that issue before but I don't remember what app they were on.
Ultra anecdotal, but I once had issues because I was setting the language of a comment. Didn't get an error, it just wouldn't post. Something to look out for.
