It looks like the ones that are considered more "healthy"

• "Sugar-Free" or "No Sugar Added" • "Keto-Friendly" or "Low-Carb" • "High-Protein" • "Natural Sweeteners

A naturally occurring sugar alcohol in plants, commercial xylitol is derived from birch trees. Xylitol is extracted into a white powder that looks and tastes similar to sugar. It is not harmful to people, save for mild diarrhea or intestinal discomfort when consumed in large amounts. The sugar substitute can be helpful to diabetics and those who wish to chew gum but have issues or concerns with cavities.

Some of us like our High Fructose Corn Syrup, dessert level sweet peanut butter, that also doesn't separate, thank you very much! Is it bad for me? Almost assuredly! Do I care when I'm eating it with a spoon? Almost not at all! You will pry my Skippy from cold, dead, somewhat greasy hands!

You're right, but a lot of people don't know that you can go to most hippie stores and get fresh made peanut, cashew, etc. butter.

Hippie stores, nothing. Most Kroger brand, Kroger owned stores have them. Many Albertson's, and Winn Dixie's also have them (Kroger owned, but not branded stores)

That doesn't even include Meijer's or Costco which also have those machines pretty regularly.

Obviously, Whole Foods is gonna have them.

The sad part is that you'd do far better financially speaking in most cases (peanuts being kinda iffy here in the US specifically because peanuts are so damn cheap that it is frequently cheaper to just buy really expensive organic no-additive peanut butter,) by buying unroasted nuts, tossing them into a dry wok or a dry baking sheet, and roasting them. At that point you just need to throw the nuts into a food processor, and you get cheap, organic, nut-butter with absolutely no artificial preservatives or artificial additives. A tiny dash (1/4 tsp per cup of nut butter at most,) of normal table salt, and a tiny pinch (1/16 tsp per cup of nut butter,) of MSG will make your homemade nut-butter, "tastier," than any store bought nut-butter.

If you're grinding a low sugar nut such as almonds, walnuts, pine nuts, or macadamias, then you may want to add a tiny pinch (1/16 to 1/8 tsp depending on taste,) of your preferred sugar to the butter, but I would taste first before adding sugar. The salt is kinda necessary for proper tastebud activation for most foods, not just savory foods.

Probably the American version, as with most of their "food", full of shit ingredients that don't need to be there.

Really?

I've never seen a peanut butter with it. Is there a brand you know of that uses it?

I'm trying to think of a reason to use xylitol in peanut butter, and since I'm of the "no sugar in peanut butter" school, and the only people I know who use xylitol is bodybuilders, I'm just all confused!
