If I had a nickel for every time a guy that makes being married his identity only for him to have an affair with an employee I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's very unexpected to happen twice.

And by unexpected I mean, completely expected!

(Also it's funny that Doofensmirtz, a mad scientist villain, was a better husband than these people)

I thought Doofenschmirtz was divorced. Didn't he talk about getting alimony?

edit: 'he', not 'her'. Much like Gunderson's Nuts, my typing is nutso good

He is divorced, but the reason for it was each of them wanting different things in life. They're still on good terms in the show.

Still leagues better than cheating.

26

Oh, I agree that it is way better than cheating. My thought process was "how can he be a better husband when he is not a husband at all?" and then "wait, IS he divorced? Am I mis-remembering some plot point?" and here we are.

Doof is an absolute sweetheart. Eccentric but a sweetheart.

16

Idk a lot of people watched him in the early 2010s (me) and felt betrayed when he came out as a genocide supporter and this just kind of feels good

I gotta put it out somewhere, but it has to have been said already. I think this is fake for the ultimate about of engagement.

I'm OotL here. Last time I followed anything Ethan Klein related he didn't have a podcast.

It came out today that he was cheating on his wife with some gal that worked under him (pun intended). Icky power dynamic for an icky guy with an icky wife. So, normal YouTuber drama.

lemmy.today

"normal YouTuber drama" fuck that noise. This is really tame considering what's going on on that pissstain that calls itself a platform. "known asswipe has a sidepiece" doesn't even register on my radar as out of the ordinary

lemmy.world

Wait, what's some of the wilder YouTuber drama? You can't just leave us in suspense.

4

I mean, there was the time a pregnant woman shot her boyfriend in the chest and killed him with a desert eagle. He was trying to prove a phone boom could stop .50 AE. It could not.

Man, my YouTube experience is very different if this is “tame.” Last major drama I had on my feed was when Hank Green confessed that he’d been using AI to help with some part of the video process and it was a kerfuffle but then he made a heartfelt apology and pledged not to use AI going forward and his remarkably mature fanbase said, essentially, “Thank you for listening to us. All is forgiven.”

44

Well I immediately remembered the suicide forest, and the recent poppings up of several pure AI explainer type channels

And she's okay with it? I mean obviously because they posed in a picture together, but damn.

Meh, why am I surprised? Every time they were together on camera, she was always staring at him with loving eyes instead of the camera. For whatever bizarre reason, she is absolutely infatuated with Ethan's ugly fat face. He's probably a little manipulative as well; when you combine those two* factors I guess it makes sense that she would still stay with a cheater. Too much in love to leave.

She is very much not ok with it. This picture was taken a few days before she got him go admit to it.

Edit: ok seems this image was taken in August

19

Huh, I thought it'd be an old picture, like maybe he's cheating with a friend of hers. But to have your wife share a costume with the person you're cheating with, that's somehow so much worse.

Same, but I figure it’s probably best for us to not know what’s going on.

31

My life has been so much better without knowing anything about what's going on with Ethan Klein. I only ever knew of him because his shit would hit the frontpage of reddit constantly.

22
lemmy.blahaj.zone

Yeah, I'm so poly-pilled that my first reaction was "aw, that's cute," then I realized the connotation of the word "Mistress" in this context.

15

Same, and since I am blessed to know nothing about this celebrity’s personal life, I will go about my day slightly happier for seeing the cute picture.

3

I can't pronounce that shit! Take your monmahogany somewhere else!

14

Ethan Klein, known initially for YouTube comedy sketches and reaction videos, intermediately for having a leftish podcast with Hasan Piker, and latterly for having a very messy meltdown and public feud over his falling out with Hasan because Ethan and his STBX Hila are massive Zionists.

The guy from the "Vape Naysh" viral video. I stopped caring about H3H3 after they left YouTube. I just assumed they retired.

Edit: This guy

Lol that doesn't make anything clearer :)

Guess I'm glad to be OOTL on this one.

They left YouTube like, yesterday

You mean when they stopped doing sketches and react content, which was the correct time to stop paying attention

19

IDK it was years ago and I really don't care enough to look up the exact date.

1

I generally had not much exposure to Ethan, but I lost all respect for him after he rode his Vaush Horse meme into the ground. Nothing he did after that made me reconsider my stance towards him.

Guy threw his whole life away after hanging around Destiny and Dan Saltman. They LOLcow’d his ass so hard
