Yeah idk the guy's main argument was that Elon shouldnt be deciding how starlink technology is governed. Otherwise SpaceX is just another military/nasa contractor, of which there are many. So it sounds like the main solution would be to put regulations on where starlink is required to operate, so he can't just cut off access randomly. Have some kinda paper trail and formal authority. But the actual argument for nationalization isn't super well founded, America is structured for private-public partnership throughout, because they realize these companies tend to operate better when they aren't run by the government. Then there's a system for bids on contractors' tech, and SpaceX has been out-delivering the rest of the world and nasa by a huge margin, so they are the obvious choice. That said, the government continues to invest-hedge on other space companies like Blue Origin but their shit keeps blowing up so it's some years off from being such a polished operation. In 2025 SpaceX actually did 50% of all launches worldwide. The structure is clearly working, let them cook

What if China seizes his starlink assets? I'll bet the public would fund the bill to defend them just like they were gov assets.
