I'm concerned about that alphabet in the background. It doesn't seem spell anything, as there is no spaces it appears just to be nonsense. Yet for some reason they're holding it up as if it's relevant to the image. I don't get it.
This shit annoys me. Schools are quite literally the perfect place to explore ideology. Politics is completely opaque and confusing for kids because they aren't being taught that different people have different ideas about how society should look based on their personal circumstances. This is why people are so easily influenced by fascists who market their programme as "straight-talking common sense". Ideology is practically built-in to the human psyche and people should be conscious of when others are trying to influence them. Rant over.
Agreed, the lack of understanding for kids makes it even more troublesome down the line. Even if focus on politics was given to grown teenagers, it would have some impact - but alas, it isn't even on the curriculum.
Why do your think they are being indoctrinated into a particular ideology rather than for example celebrating the national day of some of their fellow students? What is the context of this picture?
So I actually did a reverse image search and found the picture if from a video promoting a UK-Ukrainian Schools Partnership to share the joy of reading across borders. It's hardly indoctrination.
Has anyone done the minimum like for example verify this is the banner image on their X account? I'm kinda surprised the education department is even on X.
Mate it been like three months since Starmer fell and his cabinet was replaced. The UK government is still Labour and Bridget too. The point stands the outrage is extremely selective and has never been a Labour stance

they might be just taking cover. children are dangerous and will bite without warning.
You can support geopolitical events as long as it favours white people and the Epstein class.

Ah. I meant to respond to someone else in this thread who was talking about ideology in schools
Political ideology being promoted in schools should be allowed, as long as I agree with said political ideology.
Support Palestine and Ukraine!
Since when is solidarity with Ukraine a political ststement?
A politician supporting a foreign political entity is inherently political.
Since when is solidarity with Palestine a political statement?
Exactly.

The X picture is a screenshot of someone. They even drew a red line on it to highlight where she is. The Sky News message being quoted is from X
The person under the red arrow is Bridget Phillipson, Lucy Powell's predecessor

Is that Lucy Powell? What's the compliant? The education secretary has visited a school?
It's a response to the Sky News quote underneath
Is that what you think is going on in the photo?
