Does anybody regularly side ride? How often is your torch flung across the room?
My pockets grow full. I’m tempted to ride outside more often. Are my lights cruisin’ for a bruisin’ if I take this route? Tell me your horror stories. Cause it sure would make it easier to carry 18650 lights outside in my belt or pocket.

I wear mine outside while at work. Sometimes in the pants pocket, sometimes on the shirt pocket. I don't have a lot of trouble with it getting knocked off, but it does happen. I used to have a hard holster for a previous light, but didn't find one for the new model when I changed.
I just stopped carrying things on my person that I basically never used. Now, it's keys (clipped to a belt loop), wallet, phone, and a small hand towel (live in an area with high humidity and many public toilets with no drying ability). Anything else is going to be in a bag.
Mine is a much smaller head lamp clipped to the outside of my Lil work pouch and most days it doesn't get knocked off at all. But days it does it's about 15 times.
Leatherman in a dedicated holster but other than that, never. It's just a matter of time untill I'd lose it.
My knife gets yoinked out of my pocket by the environment too much already and I carry it on the inside. This is a bad idea. I make the compromise to a smaller flashlight for EDC (rovyvon A4 iirc?) and if I need something bigger I can make an exception and throw it in a pocket (uncomfortably) or a bag. If you really need a bigger light all the time you could try a belt pouch, a fanny pack or sling, or pants with more pockets.
If you really need all the stuff, get pants with more pockets. I usually wear Helikon-Tex UTP and they allow me to organize all the things. Next level up is a belt with pouches and holsters. Or a more casual tactical fanny pack.
I do have something like a “tacticool purse.” Defeinitely rock it sometimes.
You need a star trek communicator badge, but with a flashlight that turns on when you tap it.
Affiliate link and discount code?
Heh, IDK about actual startrek-like ones, but https://www.quiqlite.com/ appears to still be around. No idea if they have aff codes.
Ha, I was just pretending to make a joke about influencers and Star Trek. But those are some interesting lights!
Kinda what I was thinking, great minds etc
If you'd like an excuse to have to buy a new light every week I can classify this as a great idea.
Otherwise, don't. Not with your knife or your light. Trust me. I've seen plenty of guys do it, and I've never seen any of them remain happy about it for very long.
Get a good belt holster for the light. It will actually stick out less, and it will be held more securely. Holsters, especially horizontal ones are ideal for getting things out of the way.
