I love how the intro changes depending on what happened in the previous episode, or what will happen. Take Bobo the Zebra. A changing intro gives me a reason to watch it, and yes the song slaps. I particularly love the full version we don't get to hear a lot of.
Found out when I worked at a grocery store that there is a "full version" of the Friends intro, because it was in the playlist of music that would play on the store speakers
When they put it up on streaming it changed. They had different songs in different regions when it originally aired and the streaming version uses one of the other songs. Seems like a licensing thing?
All of those HBO shows have great intros. I've heard HBO had a thing where they forced their showrunners to come up with an iconic and high quality intro. Apparently Mike Judge didn't really want to do a big long intro for Silicon Valley, so they compromised and came up with the short intro that has tons of little hidden details.
The initial engine boost on a Federal Corvette sounds like the cliffhanger-ending sound from the old pre-reboot doctor who, and it messes with my head every time.
The Office US.
Gets all the happy chemicals flowing.
Actually, now that you reminded me of Gravity Falls, that one too. And for me at least, in both cases the music is doing the heavy lifting. Such great tunes, how can you skip that?
Speaking of great music, I haven't watched a full episode of GoT, but the intro is amazing! I look it up every now and then just to listen.
a) it's really cool how they update the credits to go with the storyline
b) watching as Mars/Earth/Luna build and grow over time
b) I want to float around Saturn
I was literally about to comment the same thing-Faith of the Heart popped into my head. I really disliked it at first, but it grew on me. Strongly dislike the remix they did for seasons 3 and 4.
DS9 is my favorite Trek, but it's the one whose intros I'm most likely to skip.
yeah same here. At first it was so different than anything else that i did not like it. But damn, its so good. The remix is terrible and i dont know why they did it, i skip it every time.
If it's less than 10 seconds, I won't skip because it's equally a hassle to skip. So far that's only been maybe Scrubs? These 90 second intros can buzz off man... GoT, Westworld, motherland... No thanks.
Game of Thrones. Best part of the latter seasons.
Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklage, Peter Dinklate

This. Just because I want to see what regions the episode will be taking place in.
Bojack Horseman, the song slaps and there's way too many Easter eggs and jokes slipped onto the various intros to ignore them.

My wife claps during the Friends intro credits. Every time. EVERY. TIME.
She'll be in the other room, and hear it on the TV... I hear the clap clap, clap clap from her as it plays.
The song lives rent free in my head regularly
Found out when I worked at a grocery store that there is a "full version" of the Friends intro, because it was in the playlist of music that would play on the store speakers
I can’t stand that show (or Jimmy Fallon’s), but the CLAPCLAPCLAPCLAP hook slaps.
Matt LeBlanc and Jimmy Debate: How Many Claps Are in the Friends Theme Song?
For me its Gravity Falls. I love the music.
I should rewatch it soon, probably one of my favorite tv-shows of all time
Succession. Love the music.
The Sopranos, it really sets the mood. Game of Thrones too. And The Wire!
I liked the Dexter intro too. Breaking Bad, though its pretty short. And House MD when it was Massive Attack.
Hold up... they stopped using Massive Attack as the intro music for House? I must have stopped watching it by the time it changed.

The Expanse. Just so beautiful!
Seconded. The Expanse's intro song is amazing!
Twin Peaks
How's Annie?
All of them. Intros set a mood, and that’s a really important part of consuming any piece of content for me.
First season of true detective
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul as well!
I appreciate short and to the point intros like Breaking Bad
Tbf it would be hard to reach the skip button before it's already over
White lotus. So funky
Scrubs - it is short enough not to skip it and it's also fairly catchy!
Malcolm in the Middle and Community for me, for the same reasons.
Malcolm in the Middle's slaps because it's played by They Might Be Giants
Parks and recs because it's so upbeat. Homeland too but for an entirely different reason
Back in the 90's...
Peacemaker
Doctor Who.
dundundundun dundundundun
Omg it's been years since I watched it and I just heard the theme in my head like it was the first time... I need to rewatch it now
OOOH Wahhh OOOOH EEEEE Woooo EEE OOO ohhh ooooh ooooh oooh
The initial engine boost on a Federal Corvette sounds like the cliffhanger-ending sound from the old pre-reboot doctor who, and it messes with my head every time.
I just realized it's kinda the same melody as the Game of Thrones intro
The Office US. Gets all the happy chemicals flowing.

I haven’t watched much of the office US but I can agree that the intro is very solid
King of the hill
The Wire
Which season is your favourite opening? I think in general mine is season 2
Spectacular Spiderman
I haven't watched the show in years but the song is still in my head
Spongebob Squarepants!
Mushoku Tensei / Jobless Reincarnation
Great music, setting mood in an exceptional way, every episode different background / scenes in it, exceptional for world-building.
Really excited to see season 2 next month.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Expanse!
a) it's really cool how they update the credits to go with the storyline b) watching as Mars/Earth/Luna build and grow over time b) I want to float around Saturn
For sure Supernatural. I always rock out to it!
And I also never skipped the mid-season finale song! Loved it!
Fringe - especially the 80s flashback version.
Evil.
ER and Third Watch speaking of 90's shows, but also Ted Lasso and Brooklyn Nine - Nine
I'm old. WKRP in Cincinnati.
Dunno about intro but I never skip the outro of jujutsu kaisen
season 1 and 2 of ST: Enterprise
But also all other ST shows.
I was literally about to comment the same thing-Faith of the Heart popped into my head. I really disliked it at first, but it grew on me. Strongly dislike the remix they did for seasons 3 and 4.

Raised by Wolves
Haunting music and visuals. Check it out on YouTube if you've never seen/heard it!
Babylon 5
Man, I don't think I would have seen B5 mentioned this far up over on Reddit... Me like.
Star Trek: TNG
If it's less than 10 seconds, I won't skip because it's equally a hassle to skip. So far that's only been maybe Scrubs? These 90 second intros can buzz off man... GoT, Westworld, motherland... No thanks.
From. Que Sera, Sera by The Pixies.
Generally just shows, which I love to sing along to
For the music but with no singing:
Taxi (1978-1982)
Bob Morane
Bob's Burgers! Gotta catch the joke on the empty building and the pest control van!
Duck Tales.

Can we only pick one?
Adventure Time
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Star Trek Next Generation
