If anyone wants to try out the Mk V, you can currently complete an RSI Discovery mission for a free 5-day rental. Just look for the ~30k aUEC transport mission.
Translation:
We've built a game concept funded by ships, naturally, the flow of ships can never stop. We can't alienate our original backers too much, but the ships must flow. Therefore we take the QOL complaints from the old ships and fix them only in the new varients. Its not a "fuck you cash grab" because its also lore friendly.
The Mk4 was comparable to a Drake Corsair, this thing, at least size wise sits close to a Carrack.
As a solo player I will never try to fly a mk5 solo. It does have a nice interior tho.
I like the interior of the Mk V, but it turns so slow. I'm definitely not going to give up my Corsair for it.
So the Centaurus is every Connie except the Pegasus mhm... given its Dorito shape, I rather have them work on the og RSI Dorito, the Galaxy.
They did both, Galaxy is next month!
