It's either:
That the decision makers in hollywood didn't think the original title had enough pizzazz so changed it to sorcerer to thrill it up a bit.
Or that american kids/parents just wouldn't understand what the film was about from the title so dumbed it down for them.
While I expect such interference in standalone films, wasn’t this the height of Harry Potter? They had a huge and dedicated fan base that would have gone to any movie in that series
Yes, she does. It'd be great. But pretending an insanely influential piece of media doesn't exist doesn't help us or the trans movement. Harry potter can exist and we can enjoy our memories of it without further contributing to it and boycotting all future sales. Fuck jk, fuck the franchise at this point, and fuck trabsphobes in general and specific. But the movies exist, they were good, and I wouldn't spend a red cent on any any new HP material, but the memories are free.
My answer for these kinds of questions is honestly always just the last movie I saw, because that's always the only movie I can remember.
Well, I watched The Babadook last night and that one would be really funny if everyone were Austraian

Crocodile Dundee
It's suddenly a movie about a weirdly elitist Australian talking down to a bunch of Australian expats.
Up (or, as they'd call it, Down).
In a movie where the antagonist tries and fails to hunt down and kill a flightless bird? I could see it.
Matrix.
"That's not a spoon... this is a spoon!"
I see you've played spoony-spoony before.
Oi! I can't just tell yah what the matrix is mate!
Muppets Christmas Carol
12 Angry Men
"I'm just sayin' it's possible, ya daft cunt!"
Braveheart
Sorcerer's Stone.
"It's leviOsa, not leviosar, you bloody cunt!"
Rowling needs to fade into irrelevance
I downvoted them because they used the americanised version, instead of the correct version that's called Philosopher's Stone.
I won't be party to allowing those yanks to rewrite history anymore. IT'S UNCONSCIONABLE! IT'S IMMORAL. IT SMELLS LIKE STINKY CHEESE!!!
Wait really. Why the efff would that be something to change? I just always thought the editor let an inconsistency through

It was changed in the book, it was a new book at the time

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
No, I will not elaborate. But you can see it.
My puny, three-dimensional brain cannot fathom Australian Jar Jar Binks.
Or as Dundee One Kenobi would call him: That floppy eared cunt.
The King's Speech.
Although the Yes movie would be good too, just so it could be renamed "Yeah Nah Yeah".
Blazing Saddles.
The first rule of fight club is you don't bloody talk about fight club!
The third rule of fight club, is everybody is named Bruce.
Crocodile Dundee, all of them. Make Paul hogan the least bogan of the cast.
Superman might be cool if only because it'd finally be something "different" but not "edgier".
"Oi, ya cunt, you put Lois Lane down now!"
Red Son but he lands in the Australian outback.
Like, Ma and Pa Kent still keep their origin but their son just inexplicably has an Australian accent? Maybe that's how they all sound on Krypton
The prompt says EVERYONE is aussie
Blade Runner
Shrek
But keep the same voice actors
Wasn't this almost a thing? Didn't Mike Myers record almost all his lines with an Aussie accent before the last minute change? Or am I misremembering?
I think it was a Canadian accent originally, which I assume is just his normal accent.
2001
"fraid I can't dollarydoo that, Dave."
Whatdya doin’, ya cunt?
Smokey and the Bandit
V for Vendetta.
"Foind your own fuckin tree ya cunt."
Gone with the Wind
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a ...
I think it would add a delightful extra layer of weird to Rubber.
I'm not sure if that movie needs another layer of weird.
It's like garlic. You can have too much, but too much is a fucking lot, way more than the recommended amount.
No Country For Old Men
With Eric Bana playing Anton Chigur
Captain America: Winter Soldier.
(As much for the Russian characters as the American ones)

Every Sean Connery movie! Imagine a Scottish accent playing a Spaniard from ancient Egypt as an Australian! There can be only one!
The Dark Crystal.
Any Bollywood movie :-)
Sweary Aussie Drama
The Last Samurai
Imagine Brian Brown as Gandalf.
Star Wars
Crocodile Dundee. Only Paul Hogan doesn't have an Australian accent.
What accent did you imagine him having?
Whatever's funniest. French or maybe Chinese. Highly offensive stereotypical French or Chinese.
French makes me wonder how well those movies could have worked with Jean Reno or JCVD in the role.
Rhys Darby with a New Zealand accent
Ironman
Thought the post said Austrian. I need someone to give me a movie that would be better if the cast was Austrian now
The Sound of Music
The C Word
