"We should punish the people of the US for not successfully overthrowing Imperialism the US Government Does."

well sorry for not just doing our own January 7th, we have been kind of busy building up our labor organization capacity, Local Community Defense Networks against ICE, getting people out to Vote and have it count for real, Pushing the Democratic Party to be more radical, exposing Zionism of it's lies, teaching folks how to buy local and have Green Energy.

and that is just what I know has been going on from the top of my head

that can’t be right

all I hear is “nobody’s doing anything about it”

Argentina reelected that crazy ancap, I guess it's time to collectively punish all Argentinians to the degree their country falls apart, so tech billionaires could build network cities.

Milei is besties with billionaires. It isn't The People but those people who are to blame. Argentina and America are getting what they voted for. At least in America the tide is turning on Trump in a severe way (and with the Russian bot farms down right now a lot of MAGA messaging is missing from the general discourse).

same with Milei. Thanks to his own failings the people are also doing their own activism to oppose his destruction.

Yes. Give these corporations money to continue ruining the world. Great idea.

If you use the free tier, how are you giving them money?

LLM companies are propped up by more venture capital than god, and further backed by the US state. They're all salivating at making more autonomous killbots or flooding the world with propaganda or creating a person that loves them; user metrics aren't particularly relevant.

Being a user, even via free plans, gives them data. It’s more users to show their VC overlords that their tech has a use, giving them more money.

Another absolute dogshit take from an absolute dogshit person. Idk why people like bad empanada….

The online left early on got criticized for being too white and telling minorities how they should be reacting to injustice. This lead to some entryism, usually liberals who later sometimes became more left-leaning for reals, but also at least a few Badempanda-type people.

Rich are already living in a post-scarcity society. They have virtual money called "stocks" they use for gambling tho and you using chatgpt increases that virtual money.

Is this true? I would have thought they would already have datacentres overseas.

That it contaminates the drinking water is directly false.

That it causes causes intolerable noise for neighbors can be true, but is incredibly rare. There is literally no reason to build a datacenter anywhere near a residential area and any local authority that allows it close enough to cause an issue are idiots.. but I have read an article where it happened at least once in the US.

That it increases the cost of utilities is likely true, especially in states with shitty overloaded electricity grids in the first place.

Generally you want to build data centers close to the end users (or at least not overseas), and generally you care about the legal jurisdiction the data is in. So American companies are very much going to prefer building data-centers in the US, in the same way EU companies prefers (and is sometimes mandated) to use European data centers.

Thanks for the clarification! As for building overseas or not, what I should have said was "don't they have datacentres overseas for their users outside the US?"

I figured they'd already have datacentres here in Japan or at least somewhere in Asia to distribute the load or whatever.

2

They do but they also have Data Centers here in the US and are pushing to build even more.

4

Unfortunately, big tech realized this too, and begun building data centers in Europe.

BadEmpanada: "Let's fight capitalism by supporting it."

Also the more demand for processing power, the more datacenters will be built.

3

Also dont they make datacenters elsewhere in the world so that people who arent in the US can utilize them?

You reached the end
