Early LLMs were so much better for this kind of stuff.
I had a really good thing going with the old ones generating plausible random data. But now they generate the same 15 things over and over, so I went back to concatenating randomized content from lists.
Side effect of them generating all that slop is that they are now ingesting slop. Thats why everyone is so thirsty to take away your privacy, guaranteed slop-free content is very valuable to them now
They've been thirsty to destroy privacy the entire time because predictive analytics always promised better control, coersion, manipulation, and exploitation.
Now the stakes are even higher, and the surveillance can be 1000x more invasive.
I have coworkers who use generative AI for flyers and such. They all have a similar look.
As a guy who can make flyers in Publisher (or PowerPoint or even Word) and Pages (Apple's version of Word/Publisher), it's kinda sad to see. I can understand the aversion to clip art, but AI slop is way worse.
What's crazy is that they actually have an employee (me) who can do the thing, and I often have the time to do it. But, it's not like I get paid less when they use AI to make a flyer.
I finally convinced a colleague that a bulleted list with a JPG at the top makes a better flier than the slop she generated for the same event last year.

Because LLMs are giving average results and cannot be creative by definition.
They're essentially supercharged meme generators.
This is the correct answer.
AI-generated content is a race to the middle.

I like the idea of offering two prices for a job.
$3000 for a flier without AI.
$20 for a flier with AI.
I'm a sysadmin and wanted a simple icon for a custom script/utility for a program.
I tried to use an LLM make a logo based on the original program logo (provided) and either gears or tools.
Holy crap the output was such garbage.
"Garbage in. Garbage out." I thought so I tried to prompt engineer that shit and 30 min later it was still garbage.
I just used powerpoint and clipart to make one in 15 minutes..

We fuckin' ran out of fliers this year.
There's your answer.

A lot of text is made to look like they're lighted up, except it makes them look like you have cataracts.
