I wanted to post a link I found in Yahoo earlier today and had to refrain. I could not find the original article as per usual; I think it might have been a case where Yahoo actually made some original content (???) but I don't think that's something they do.
I thought it was known for a while that inflammation is one of the leading causes of cancer.
More is genetic damage from viral infections. Inflamation is less direct: it often triggers more cell repkication, and each replication event has the potential to introduce a genetic error.
