Back in the 70s, there was a series of rapes in Israel, mostly in the evening or at night. In an attempt to respond to public pressure, the Knesset was discussing measures that could be taken to prevent or stop the rapes. After much discussion, they decided the solution was to have a curfew for women. Golda Meir (the PM at the time) was furious. She told the Knesset, "If there is to be a curfew, let it be on the men - they are the ones committing these crimes."
Oddly enough, the Knesset suddenly decided that a curfew wasn't the answer.
I remember a hypersexual NOI-JW (it's complicated, lol) guy telling me women should cover up when I wore a sundress once, because of people like him, so I said "If thine eye offend thee, pluck it out." He averted his eyes and got quiet quickly.
Literally "skill issue".
Give a fish/teach to fish.
What does NOI-JW stand for?
Nation of Islam / Jehovah's Witness

Ah religion! That’s why I couldn’t get any search results. Or alternatively these aren’t very common abbreviations. It may have taken you more work to type that instead of just spelling them out and assuming I hadn’t already searched.
Fuck yeah. India has a long way to go in women's rights. I've only been there once, for work, and unfortunately I really don't feel comfortable taking my wife and daughter there, because it seems like an awesome country. But why risk it when there are other destinations?
Honor killings? Seriously? in the 21st century? Get with the times, India. (Not that it was ever moral.)
