Try standing on one leg while doing focus oriented tasks at a counter or standing desk.
Gives me a little proprioceptive and vestibular stimulation on the side to compliment my attention while passing meds at the window. Might not work / be accessible to everybody but it's something to try and if it adds another tool to your coping skills box you're welcome.

I have an adjustable sit stand desk at work. But it's highest settings is a couple cm too low for my wrist comfort.
Why is foot on knee a no no?
knee joint no go sideways (ankle no go sideways either, but that's mostly on the ground already anyway)
Ankle does go sideways! It's called eversion and inversion.
You wouldn't want to put weight on the side of it like that through like if you were on your tip toe
I've done this to the point of "foot at armpit".
This might turn into less of a "try this" and more of a "you might be adhd if–" or even "btw this is why you do this."
i've been subconsciously doing this while cooking and when i realize i go "oh haha im flamingo :)"
didn't realize it could help me focus by forcing one to balance
Funny thing: I do that all the time, when I work at a standing desk. Really funny, though my foot aches if I do it for too long without any shoes or even claps on
Oh wow i do that in the shower
that is actually a situation I do not reccomend doing that especially if your shower does not have mobility aids like grab handles but also nurse brain hates lots of things like that one time I saw my husband stumble and had a straight up PTSD flashback with visuals where I briefly hallucinated him falling back and hitting his head on the corner of the wall and the adrenaline spike that caused was a WILD ride. Legit though like statistically speaking a lot more people just fall and crack their head and randomly die or spend the rest of their life paralyzed / brain damaged than we're willing to talk about as a society.
I know ! I'm careful I swear ! Tbf my shower is hella small so the walls are always in range lol
I found i can stand on one leg unsupported for almost 20 minutes by doing this in a meeting where i didn't need to talk. At 19:20 some muscle in my thigh suddenly got a sharp spike of pain so i aborted 😔
one reason I like a standing desk is I can stretch and sway and move around.
