The scale of the wood grain looks odd for that to be a normal grain of rice

I think you are right. Seems like a sloppified recreation of this classic

What is it with the wave of sloppified memes, that are just worse than the original? What is their point?

Everything has to be run through Ai. Just because. Shuuush. Soon we will forget about all that “human made” content and bathe in the glorious future of technology.

I will only ever make artisanal, handcrafted shitposts. And you can hold me to that, or my name isn't Troy McLure.

Sometimes it’s easier to ask ai to recreate something you remember rather than finding the original one and reposting it 🤷‍♂️

That does not explain the heavy wave of such slop content in recent time, unless people have suffered from rapid mass dementia.

7

Probably soc media algorhytms give preferntial treatment to images with original hash sums, so LLM recreation gets built into the usual repost bot pipeline.

3

That makes more sense. It is surely not done just for fun. Gaming the attention economy with slop spam makes sense.

2

PLCCs like that do often have two indentations, on opposite corners due to the molding process. Doesn't make this any less slop though.

Are the indentations just for orientation during soldering?

Just imagining sinking my teeth into a giant rice.

10

Yeah, but just once getting to try a giant one is something I would love to try.

And I'm pretty sure the smallest chip in history has more than 16 leads, and would not be visible without a microscope

3

The smallest microcontroller definitely has fewer than 16 pads (not leads because they don't make sense at this scale)

3

It looks quite right for the integrated circuit that is labeled as a "chip".

Someone posted the original elsewhere in the comments

for all these people booing, I want to point out that I don't blame you OP. AI is sneaky and any meme nowadays you post without thinking has the chance to turn out to be a trojan horse of slop.

I do, however, blame the mods for not listening to the community and adding a rule about AI.

24

It’s crazy that people raw dog the web. Who on earth would voluntarily look at ads

3

I've never seen a SOIC package that's smaller than a grain of rice, with pins on all sides and two pin 1 markings

I think OP just copied someone else's slop meme and used Google Translate on it, though. So can't really blame them

16

No genuine human progress can be made until we make all forms of advertising a capital offense.

I recently saw a new trend, the close button is just a small slash, so you have to guess what the exit is. Like , but very small

1

You reached the end
