First time posting here, the autumn berries were pretty good this year.
Unfortunately they're very invasive up here but there's a pretty productive bush where I work, and I'm not allowed to remove it, so at least I can get some free berries out of it. If you've never had them, they're sweet but a little tart.

What a pretty plant. I've never saw something like that in France. It look like a very nice bead.
What plant is it? Made me think of silver leaf, but you cant eat the berries.
Autumn olive is what I call it. One of those plants with a whole bunch of names.
Elaeagnus umbellata

Do just eat them straight, or use them for anything else?
If i wanted to, I could probably collect my bodyweight in these berries in a day, but I never used them for anything.
Not sure if I have them here. I find it risky having anything I could forage in vast quantities.
Came home with a bag full of cherry plums earlier this year, turned them into 8-10L of fruity mead. Need to drink more to free up some bottles and shelf space.
Jams. They're a bit small and have a large pit but if you gather a bunch, they make a mean jam.
I honestly thought you threw pepperoni on the plant at first glance
