As everyone noticed, the ai coding helper had to be downgraded to a worse model due to ballooning costs as more and more people use it - I didn't expect the ai helper to get this popular. I'm working on a way to get it back to a smarter model, which will bring back the visible thinking text. Unsure how long it'll take.

I'm still working on fixing text-to-image-plugin since the emergency downgrade ~4 months ago. Still unsure on ETA. It is harder than I expected (as usual), but I have made good progress.

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but over the last couple of months I've been working a lot on comments plugin moderation systems. It's still very far from perfect, but seems to be much better than before at catching bad behavior, and it should also be better at not accidentally punishing benign behavior. So the report/flag button on comments should work better now. Please let me know (via lemmy post) if you or anyone else gets an undeserved ban or any other issues. Again, it's still far from perfect, and some aspects are easier to fix than others (mainly due to needing to run the moderation cheap enough to keep everything free), but I'll keep iterating on it.

Any ETA on the model to back to normal. Also while I'm at it, when the save button works again?
Thanks for the update. I do want a better text model if it is possible, specifically the one that was used before the update 3 months ago.

Is there any way you could tell us what the previous ai chat model was? And what the ai models are for image generation? Appreciate it.

The site has blocked me for no reason, I woke up and tried to use it but it said I’ve been blocked for ‘security reasons’ and to message a dev or something. With a cloud flare ID a42098885d92773e
I also have the same issue, people on the r/perchance in reddit are having this issue. It's global.
Check the other posts users have made, it's not just you. Site is down or Cloudflare is having issues.

Fix the issue with the please turn of your VPN type of thing, I couldn't message on the comments plugin for unknown reason, I do not use any type of vpn currently, I once had use nordvpn but stop from doing so, did my IP got block in your server?

Same issue occurred for me. Ive sent a message to the Dev with my ray id as well. Everything worked an hour ago or so.
Here's 4 cheap (idk if eazy fixed bugs to be fixed) and many users complaining for ages, regarding to comment plugin
Long reply chain with each quotes are wall of texts looks messy and annoying.
Replying wall of texts on mobile easily crush on/cover up send comment button.
Blocked users still appears in quotes.
mod deleting comment resulting [load 200 more messages button] disappear.
