No. They just essentially listed "we will never have AI, I guarantee it" as a feature and it was awesome.

Edit: Eureka!, I found I could delete the web download version and reinstall via homebrew!

You can install it from your distro's repos, snap, appimage, and flatpak.
It turns out that homebrew was the way to go!

Edit: It's just the most recent update to the main branch.
You'd be hard pressed to find any distro that doesn't have LibreOffice in its repos, as easy to install as any other software in the distro. Hell, most of the distros I work with have it installed by default when you first install the distro.

It does not look like 1998 software.
It does if you configure it to use an icon pack from 1998 though!
