Intune MDM and Company Portal for iOS App Management

Anyone else using MDM with Intune? This is the Microsoft Company Portal on iOS. It offers customized branding, featured apps, categories, and descriptions to explain how your company uses the app.

The Company Portal also manages enrollment, either with or without Apple’s Automated Device Enrollment (ADE/DEP). With ADE, you can remove the AppStore and replace it with your company’s apps, creating a custom AppStore. You can also mix the two, for example, purchasing and managing AppStore licenses from Apple VPP and assigning VPP apps to Intune.

This allows you to buy iPhones and iPads for employees and field techs, or have employees bring their own devices (BYOD) and download the Company Portal app from the AppStore for access to company resources while keeping device ownership.

User backlash has reportedly caused Apple to rethink iOS 18's Photos redesign

In the latest issue of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that Apple has seemingly walked back some of the changes made to Photos.

Suggesting the redesign was "probably a little too bold and potentially confusing", Gurman said the most recent beta version of iOS 18 has removed the new carousel feature.
