Philippine Scops Owl (Otus megalotis)

Tagged along after an invitation to photograph this scops owl in a backyard in Quezon City. Rain or shine, there's no reason to miss this shot!

Although typically a forest-dwelling species endemic to Luzon, Catanduanes, and Marinduque, this small nocturnal owl surprisingly showed up right in a backyard inside a QC village. With Mylene Santos, Jon-jon Salvador and Nel Si.
