I would like society to move away from considering the amount of wealth you hoard at all comparable to value as a person

I think the amount of wealth you hoard is an excellent proxy for your value as a person. Society does seem to have it backwards though.

All those assholes care about is "winning." You'll need a scoring system that replaces wealth that is more widely & consistently used to rank them than money currently is. Good luck with that.

Or their intelligence. Just watched an episode of The Dropout where some dumb guy says "You think I'm dumb? I made 50 million dollars!"
