Fitting representation of America.
Yep, my first thought when I found this out as well. It is the perfect representation of the US I could ever think of.
And predators don't make loud noises while hunting, since that alerts prey.
Yeah alerting something is usually to warn something. Imagine a bear yelling at a salmon instead of catching it. "Hey deer! I'm going to eat you now!!!". Wait, why the fuck did he leave, doesn't he know about pond rules!?!?
Bald Eagles scavenge a lot. I will see them feeding on roadkill more often than fish.
Down in Delta BC there is a garbage dump that is very popular amongst the eagles. You are probably just as likely to see eagles there as crows and seagulls.
There's a great video showing how silently owls fly compared to other birds. I'll link it if I can find it.
Edit: Found it
The MGM lion roar is also actually a tiger. A real lion roar sounds yawny and gravelly.
While the Bald Eagle sounds like a seagull, it is very frickin loud. I was glad they gave Eagly in Peacemaker real eagle sounds, though I think he is still way too quiet.

For anyone who was curious like I was. Reminds me of a seagull.
(The link does lead to bald eagle calls, I don't know why the link says golden eagle)
"It's the greatest eagle, the American Bald Eagle, and I'm thinking about renaming it the golden eagle. Thank you for your attention to this matter"
Trump, probably
fucker would try and cover them in gold foil, I'm sure
It’s always been funny to me that people are totally OK with the idea that punch noises and other cracks and crunches and grunts are made by the Foley team but think sounds like this are totally realistic…
Besides, red-tailed hawks do not scavenge while bald eagles do.
Hey now, scavengers have some amazing benefits to the world.
Vultures limit disease transmission and clean up dead stuff that would otherwise stink to high hell.
That surprises me. There is an Osprey nest 100 feet off my shoreline and those things calls are so peircing. They are great looking, and watching them raise thier young is great every summer, but holy fuck they are loud and their calls suck.
