I still can't believe that there's actual real people that speak about the "woke" and not just basement dwelling incels on the internet. And we're supposed to keep taking them seriously afterwards. I think that if someone spoke about "woke culture" irl, I would probably laugh in their faces.

The thing I find nuts is that "woke" just seems to be short for "keeping my nose in my own business and treating people who are just trying to live their lives with dignity and respect."

Wild how much they're against basic human decency

She is a self-proclaimed "post"fascist. What do you expect?

At least she’s an actual Italian politician, and not just the lame sparkling authoritarianism we have in the US.

She also gets really pissed when you talk about how her grandfather died/was hung by his heels to rot.

That's Alessandra Mussolini. Meloni is just fascist

Ohh, I would laugh in their face. I don't even think it would be a conscious choice, just a reflex. Either that or I'd look at them like they just said the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I've been told I do that.

“I thought he’d be the Hitler to my Mussolini but I’m not even the Melania to his…Trump.”

"Things have turned out otherwise" or "the internation political situation has not necessarily turned in the populists’s favor"

QuinnyCoded, always caption images, or provide TTS output 🗣️:

The New Times Sunday, August 23, 2026 Issue front cover with a picture of Giorgia Meloni captioned: ‘It's evident that with Donald Trump, I believed things would be easier, given our convergence on immigration and woke culture. Things have turned out otherwise.’
