seriously tho, the fact that modern groups mainly profit from merch, rather than from the actual main product of their artistic efforts will never stop being a tragedy in my book.

this has been going on since Elvis his times, to them the Elvis / Colonel story was just a good lesson: Get them started with a debt, have them very eager to sign and work them to death doing live shows.

It still works, just look at what they did to Michael Jackson.
