I'm so sad right now, so sad and I frequently get this sad these days
I don't even know what to do with myself right now because of how intense this feeling is. I (30M) am having memories of my childhood dog, who passed away in 2013. I'll never ever forget him, and I suppose that's bittersweet. Sometimes I get down for no reason at all, but now it's just my sweet dog.

Kinda sounds like depression. That sensation of not being happy for some undetermined reason.
It can help to chat with someone that you trust, or if it's getting in the way of life, even chat with a doctor if you can. But you're not alone, I'm sure many of us can relate. It's ok to talk about it, people who you can trust will often understand.
Thanks for reminding me to take my vitamins.
For all the stuff that can make us sad, depressed, anhedonic, etc, no point making it worse by not taking vitamins. D3 especially for the sads. RDA sunlight equivalent dosing.
Painfully understandable. Do you have any pets now? If not, i think you should get one. Not to replace your childhood friend, of course, but... well, i don't know about you or, to be fair, about any other people, but for me petting animals always lightens my mood even on the darkest days. I'd say, they're the reason i'm still relatively sane.
I'm sending you ehugs
To am sorry to hear that!
Feelings are coming and going, so will this pass. Its valid to feel any emotion, its how we deal with it. I will come to it below.. In my experience it helps to:
I am afraid I myself have no concrete advice how to improve your situation right now. Be kind to yourself like a loving parent would be. Force yourself to go for a walk even if it feels exhausting, get a coffee or so and something nice to snack. Maybe see a friend with a little warning you are not feeling to great but need some different input or just have a beer and don't talk, just get a hug, idk. It will strengthen your friendship a lot. Idk if you already established that, ans idk your friends but some get spooked so maybe go slow and have them ask questions or so. Maybe get some nice food and play a game or watch a movie, allow yourself to feel good about it. You deserve it.
Love to you! It will get better :) <3
sounds like depression. talk to a doctor. is probably a hormonal imbalance, can be improved with certain types of medication.
There's always a reason why your mood drops, you just might not be aware of the why. Depression is only diagnosable by a mental health professional, but if you worry that might be what you're suffering with then, if able, talk to someone.
Having said all that, remember that sadness, like joy, will pass. How ever you're feeling is natural and valid even if you don't know the source. Be gentle with yourself and do what you need to do to take care of you.
