I like how smoking became a thing you can do with electronics. We'll fucking buy any thing or idea out there without too much thought. The "cool" factor among our peers is a strong motivator and the marketing people know this.

This was posted moments before mankind discovered the LD50 of weed.

Go back in time and buy Mudvayne's LD50 album then go to the library to figure out wtf that stands for

... I didn't buy this album to learn but it happened anyway :D

Yeah, I think with weed, you're more likely to die by being crushed by a bale of it than by smoking enough of it to kill you.

Idk if it's just me, but carts always make me uncontrollably cough compared to smoking or even taking dabs off my rig. Every cart I've tried tastes bad or tickles my throat lol

Complete opposite for me, but I still prefer smoking. Edibles are the best, but get expensive quick.

Carts are usually smooth for me and then I'm glued to whatever surface I was on. I don't particularly like feeling the way I do with vape carts, but they are good for when I wake up at 3am, I'm asleep before the negative feelings show up.

Always like the feeling when I hit a bong, even if it sometimes makes me cough a lung or three out.

Voltage too high. Gotta get a battery that lets you adjust it. The legal carts here are amazing. Great flavor. Gotta do it a low voltage though or else I get that same bad taste/throat tickle

Variable voltage and easy to maintain or clean. I’ve had one for 8 years and just $30

Probably because you're actually smoking the cart. Some of that vapor is the smoking implement. You could put the cleanest concentrates in disposable carts and they'd still taste like shit because you're probably smoking plastic or something else that isn't THC.

Nice devices won’t burn any plastic or other material, but you’re right—almost all carts are not nice carts. Ideally the kanthal won’t heat up enough to burn anything, or vaporize anything other than the viscous liquid inside. Difficult to do that with something more viscous than PG/VG solution, though! Even 100% VG, much less viscous than THC solutions, is difficult to get right.

Why I avoid anything disposables/ carts.

Divine Tribe's v5 is where it's at. Their heater cups are the opposite of disposable. With minimum cleaning I've had heating elements last six plus months. Every few sessions you just up the voltage and burn it clean and it literally turns shiny and new. I've only had the elements break from drops.

Though you will knock people on their ass if they're expecting your typical pen and instead they're pretty much getting a dab.

The only ones I’ve enjoyed are something like “Live rosin” and “Diamonds” or whatever, those are super tasty and stuff. Oil carts are horrible.

Anything live and liquid diamonds is going to be way cleaner but still an oil cart.

Distillates are rougher with more plant material and tend to burn hotter leading to more coughing.

What dry herb vape?

I love my dynavap but I wanna make a "ball vape" soon.

Storz & Bickel's Volcano is a great device. It's not cheap, but it's been one of the best investments (covid stim check) I ever made.

Dynavap is a great starter, DaVinci worked out nicely for precise dosing, Pax seemed a bit low-end and ran too hot, Volcano would easily be my favorite.

The local dispensary is trying to convince me to buy one but idk. How is the smell? I live with other people and we have a rule of no smoking in the house because we don't want the place smelling like that.

The volcano is great, one of my favorite purchases ever. That said, anyone claiming it doesn't smell might have a skewed frame of reference. It won't stink up your apartment as bad as smoking for sure, but vaping flower absolutely smells like pot and it will be very noticeable if it's your daily driver and/or your landlord visits while you are using it. If it's just occasional use you may be fine but honestly this thing will become a daily driver. So fucking good. Makes pot last forever, even when my tolerance is high my wife and I can split a half gram and be sent to space.

Their portable dry vapes might be more up your alley. The Mighty is also excellent, but I haven't tried their smaller models.

If you’ve ever baked it to decarb for eddies it’s the same dry earthy smell for most but still changes depending on temperature and terpenes. If you use the bad and turn off the fan, the volcano is not too smelly, and Dyna is small enough it’s less offensive than an oil vape.

Remember your decarbed flower is not burned, and is activated and great for edibles best @ 180-190°C
