Once you start noticing how many people are using their phones while driving it becomes terrifying to be riding on the side of the road. Luckily I mostly stick to trails.

This is why I ride with lights and cameras: I'm not sure why, but the presence of a lens and that blinking record light seems to magically make everyone better drivers.

It's not fool proof, but I was astounded at how much of a difference it made!

Riding the bus and bike its shocking. I swear, probably 1/3 are using their phone in some capacity. One out of three when riding the bus.

The biggest change to being visible to motorists I experienced was when I started riding a recumbent. It stands out.

A visible camera or two has been the biggest game changer for me, but I definitely attract a lot of attention when I ride my recumbent.
