No. So far it doesn't even feel like it takes place in the same universe as Superman or Peacemaker, and I'm okay with that.
TL;DR: No.
Wasn't necessary for the pilot episode.
And what an episode it was!
No, but Hawk Girl is the best part of both things so you'd be missing out if you didn't.
Hawk Girl was also the best part of the animated Justice League series.
I'm sensing a trend here.
Don't watch the CW Flash or LoT shows then.

As a general rule of thumb I avoid The CW at all times.
I can't lie, I've never seen any of them. All I know is that Hawk Girl helmet meme. Didn't want to watch the movie because I was worried nothing else would live up to that.
