Been able to since 2015.
You caaaan, but do you wanna? I have had better luck with using davinci resolve. It might be because I'm more used to the editing side of things.
I am not an animator, but I find Krita's tools quite adequate, in my limited testing.
I made this a while back in Krita.

Despite my best efforts I haven't gotten used to Kritas animation UI though.
