Spotify is going all in on AI features, including AI-generated songs.
A big part of it is that the more people listen to their generated content, the less they have to pay actual artists.
And it's why they have one of the lowest average royalties per stream.
Music streaming companies with active anti-AI policies are: Qobuz, Tidal and Deezer

You can export all your playlists incl favourites to deezer for example. I did that, worked fine.
Qobuz seems like a decent alternative, it's explicitly anti-AI, and the subscription seems cheaper. Also when you buy music to download, it's free from DRM

My gripes:
-Catalog isn't quite as all-encompassing, but it's noticeably improving.
-The app stops playing in low-signal places.
-I have come across multiple artists that are combined under a single artist, multiple times.
-App navigation can be awkward, but they recently did a redesign that im still getting used to.

They seem to do one on the first Friday of the month. So you don't have to wait long if you miss it!

Spotify never paid srtists that much...
I'm going to work on a side project that's a Navidrome + SpotiFlac that intercepts search and stream queries to stream all songs on demand. Then lastfm scrobbles to handle some discoveries.
Probably also do an import for playlist and whatnot.
The AI songs are making it a hassle because their own playlists populate 70% of searches.
Their catalog is gonna shrink as actual artists abandon the platform so they need to fluff the numbers
