Yes Musk has a very long record of not paying people until they eventually sue him. This isn't a new thing, this has been a kind of lifelong thing of Musk's.
This has literally been Musk his entire life.

I had this happen with a Fox News host that lives near us. We rented out a piece of equipment to them they needed and they wouldn't pay until we threatened to sue. They eventually did this to everyone, so even if you figured out which host, you wouldn't know who I am.
Until people stop working on the promise that skeezy grifter billionaires will pay them, they will continue to get scammed.
